Electrical work for powered shutters is carried out to BS 7671 and the Scottish building standards for electrical safety.
Fire shutters in workplaces and other non-domestic premises are maintained under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006, where the duty holder is responsible for keeping fire safety measures in working order.
