Planning and safety in Prestatyn
As a Welsh town, Prestatyn follows the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Welsh permitted development rules.
- Workplace safety: Powered doors in workplaces must be safe in use and properly maintained. We commission the safety devices and recommend a service interval.
- Fire strategy: If a shutter is on an escape route, it must fit the building's fire strategy and must not lock people in.
- Planning: New external shutters can need planning permission, particularly on street-facing elevations.
