Planning and safety in Cardigan
In Cardigan, as elsewhere in Wales, planning questions go to your local planning authority (the county or county borough council, or a national park authority).
- Planning: New external shutters can need planning permission, particularly on street-facing elevations.
- Workplace safety: Powered doors in workplaces must be safe in use and properly maintained. We commission the safety devices and recommend a service interval.
- Fire strategy: If a shutter is on an escape route, it must fit the building's fire strategy and must not lock people in.
