Bideford sits some 45 miles to the north of Plymouth.
Door shutters in Bideford can run from the same remote or app as window shutters, so the whole ground floor closes together.
For back doors, French doors and bifolds in Bideford, the shutter is sized to the full frame so the curtain closes onto a level threshold or a bottom rail.

What to check in Bideford before ordering
Bideford is in England, so planning decisions sit with your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).
- Electrics: Wired to BS 7671. Notifiable work in homes in England and Wales, such as a new circuit, is self-certified by a competent person scheme electrician or notified to building control.
- Planning: Front-door shutters change how the house looks from the street, so check with your council first, especially in a conservation area or on a listed building.
- Getting out safely: A shutter over an exit door must open from inside quickly and without a key. We set the switch inside the door and add a manual override.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit round my door handle?
The shutter runs in front of the door frame, so handles, letterboxes and door canopies are measured at survey and the guides are set out to clear them.
Can I get out if the door shutter is down?
Yes. The control is inside, and we fit a manual override so the shutter can be raised by hand if the power is off. We will not fit a shutter over your only exit that needs a key from inside.
How much do door roller shutters cost in Bideford?
The guide prices above apply in Bideford. Your exact price depends on size, finish, controls and access, and is fixed in writing after survey.
Is the survey free in Bideford?
Yes, for new installations. We tell you the cost of any repair or service visit before booking.
