Fitting roller garage doors in Watford
Whether your property is in the centre of Watford or on its edges, it is included in our Hertfordshire coverage. Bushey, Rickmansworth and Borehamwood are covered too, which helps when several properties need doing.
When an up-and-over door in Watford is replaced, the old door and frame come out and the new roller door is fixed to the brickwork or a timber subframe.
If your garage in Watford is integral, the door affects how warm the house is, so insulated laths and brush seals are worth considering.

Rules that apply in Watford
Watford is in England, so planning decisions sit with your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).
- Safety devices: Powered doors need force limiting or a safety edge and must be set up and tested at installation. We hand over the instructions and a record of the settings.
- Power cut: Every powered door has a manual release so it can be opened by hand. If the garage is your only way into the house, ask about battery backup.
- Planning: Replacing a garage door is not usually a planning matter, but listed buildings and conditions on newer estates can restrict changes, so check if unsure.
