Roller garage doors for properties in Ludlow
Ludlow sits some 24 miles to the south of Shrewsbury.
Width, height and the headroom behind the lintel decide the door size; the survey in Ludlow checks all three, plus where the motor can be powered.
If your garage in Ludlow is integral, the door affects how warm the house is, so insulated laths and brush seals are worth considering.
We survey and install across Shropshire, and Ludlow is one of the towns covered. Other towns nearby that we cover include Leominster, Bridgnorth and Stourport-on-Severn.

What to check in Ludlow before ordering
As an English town, Ludlow follows the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the permitted development rules in England.
- Power cut: Every powered door has a manual release so it can be opened by hand. If the garage is your only way into the house, ask about battery backup.
- Planning: Replacing a garage door is not usually a planning matter, but listed buildings and conditions on newer estates can restrict changes, so check if unsure.
- Safety devices: Powered doors need force limiting or a safety edge and must be set up and tested at installation. We hand over the instructions and a record of the settings.

Roller garage doors in Ludlow: questions
Are roller garage doors insulated?
The doors we recommend use foam-filled aluminium laths, which reduce heat loss and noise compared with a single-skin steel up-and-over door.
What if the power fails?
Each door has a manual release inside the garage so it can be opened by hand. Battery backup is available if the garage is your only entrance.
Do I need permission for roller garage doors in Ludlow?
Swapping a garage door in the same opening is not usually a planning matter, but some estates have conditions on front elevations and listed buildings need consent. If you are unsure, ask your local council; we provide product details for any application.
Is the survey free in Ludlow?
Yes, for new installations. We tell you the cost of any repair or service visit before booking.
