Fitting roller garage doors in Bognor Regis
Bognor Regis is roughly 31 miles south-west of Crawley.
A roller garage door is normally installed in a day, with the motor, remotes and safety edge set up and tested before handover.
If your garage in Bognor Regis is integral, the door affects how warm the house is, so insulated laths and brush seals are worth considering.
Whether your property is in the centre of Bognor Regis or on its edges, it is included in our West Sussex coverage. We also cover Chichester, Littlehampton and Worthing, so premises in more than one of these places can be quoted together.

Planning and safety in Bognor Regis
In Bognor Regis, as elsewhere in England, planning questions go to your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).
- Safety devices: Powered doors need force limiting or a safety edge and must be set up and tested at installation. We hand over the instructions and a record of the settings.
- Power cut: Every powered door has a manual release so it can be opened by hand. If the garage is your only way into the house, ask about battery backup.
- Planning: Replacing a garage door is not usually a planning matter, but listed buildings and conditions on newer estates can restrict changes, so check if unsure.

Roller garage doors in Bognor Regis: questions
What if the power fails?
Each door has a manual release inside the garage so it can be opened by hand. Battery backup is available if the garage is your only entrance.
Can a roller door replace my up-and-over door?
Yes. It fits the same opening, usually behind it on the inside, and gives you back the full width and the ceiling space.
Do I need permission for roller garage doors in Bognor Regis?
Possibly. Swapping a garage door in the same opening is not usually a planning matter, but some estates have conditions on front elevations and listed buildings need consent. We recommend checking with your local council first.
How much do roller garage doors cost in Bognor Regis?
Typical prices are shown above. A survey at your property in Bognor Regis confirms the specification and fixes the price.
