1. Enquiry
Tell us what the shutter is for, rough sizes and how many, and send photos if you can. The quote tool gives a guide price straight away, and we call you to talk it through.
2. Survey
A surveyor measures the opening and the space around it, checks what the box and guides will fix into, looks at power and access, and talks through colours, controls and options. For repairs, a visit diagnoses the fault instead.
3. Quotation
You receive a written fixed price listing the product, controls, fitting, any electrical work, making good, removal of old shutters and the lead time. Nothing is ordered until you accept.
4. Order and manufacture
Our standard terms are a 50% deposit on acceptance, 40% on the first day of installation and the 10% balance on completion. Made-to-measure shutters are ordered once the deposit is received, and most arrive in three to five weeks.
5. Fitting and handover
On the day we protect the area, fit and set up the shutter, test the controls and safety devices, demonstrate everything, and leave the manufacturer's documents and warranty details with you.
How long does each stage take?
Surveys are booked at a time that suits you, depending on where you are. Quotations follow the survey, and made-to-measure shutters usually take three to five weeks to arrive; fire-rated and high-speed doors can take longer. Fitting is normally one day per opening on homes and shopfronts, and one to three days for large industrial doors.
If you have a deadline, such as a shop opening or a tenancy starting, tell us at the start so we can say honestly whether it is achievable.
What to have ready for the survey
Access to each opening inside and out, an idea of how you want to control the shutters, and any planning, landlord or building information that could affect the work. If the property is listed or in a conservation area, mention it when you book.
