Our patio & bifold door roller shutters service in Llangefni
We survey and install across Gwynedd, and Llangefni is one of the towns covered. We also cover Holyhead, Bangor (Gwynedd) and Caernarfon, so premises in more than one of these places can be quoted together.
Llangefni is roughly 10 miles north-west of Bangor (Gwynedd).
Wide patio and bifold openings in Llangefni may need a shutter split into two on a shared centre guide, depending on the span and the wind on that side of the house.
Because a door shutter can cover an escape route, each one we fit in Llangefni has an inside control that works without a key, plus a manual override or battery backup.

Planning and safety in Llangefni
In Llangefni, as elsewhere in Wales, planning questions go to your local planning authority (the county or county borough council, or a national park authority).
- Escape route: If the patio doors are a way out of the house, the shutter needs an inside control and a manual override.
- Planning: Rear shutters are less visible, but listed buildings and conservation areas can still need consent.
- Electrics: Wired to BS 7671. Notifiable work in homes in England and Wales, such as a new circuit, is self-certified by a competent person scheme electrician or notified to building control.

Frequently asked questions
How much do patio door shutters cost?
Most patio and French doors are £1,195–£1,895 including VAT, electric, supplied and fitted. Wide bifolds cost more; you get a fixed price after survey.
Will a shutter keep my extension cooler?
Yes, an external shutter stops sun reaching the glass, which is far more effective at reducing heat than an internal blind.
Is the survey free in Llangefni?
For new shutters, yes. Repair visits in Llangefni are charged because they include diagnosis and work on the day.
Do I need permission for patio & bifold door roller shutters in Llangefni?
It depends on the property. External shutters on listed buildings need listed building consent, and conservation areas often have tighter rules. Check with your local council before ordering; we can supply drawings.
