Frequently asked questions
Will a shutter keep my extension cooler?
Yes, an external shutter stops sun reaching the glass, which is far more effective at reducing heat than an internal blind.
Can you fit a shutter over bifold doors?
Yes. The shutter runs outside the folding doors in its own guides, so it does not interfere with them. Very wide bifolds are often split into two shutters on a centre post.
How much do patio & bifold door roller shutters cost in Hawick?
The guide prices above apply in Hawick. Your exact price depends on size, finish, controls and access, and is fixed in writing after survey.
Do I need permission for patio & bifold door roller shutters in Hawick?
External shutters on listed buildings need listed building consent, and conservation areas often have tighter rules. If you are unsure, ask your council; we provide product details for any application.
