Frequently asked questions
Can you fit a shutter over bifold doors?
Yes. The shutter runs outside the folding doors in its own guides, so it does not interfere with them. Very wide bifolds are often split into two shutters on a centre post.
Will a shutter keep my extension cooler?
Yes, an external shutter stops sun reaching the glass, which is far more effective at reducing heat than an internal blind.
Do I need permission for patio & bifold door roller shutters in Bromsgrove?
Possibly. External shutters on listed buildings need listed building consent, and conservation areas often have tighter rules. We recommend checking with your local council first.
Is the survey free in Bromsgrove?
Yes, surveys for new installations in Bromsgrove are free. Repair and service visits are charged.
