Roller grilles for properties in Newquay
We survey and install across Cornwall, and Newquay is one of the towns covered. Truro, St Austell and Redruth are covered too, which helps when several properties need doing.
Newquay sits some 10 miles to the north of Truro.
If your shop in Newquay is on a parade or in a conservation area, the look of the shutter matters as much as the security, so we talk through planning-friendly options such as perforated laths or a box behind the fascia.
For shops in Newquay, the shutter is specified around how often it runs, how the frontage looks and what your landlord or council expects.

Planning and safety in Newquay
As an English town, Newquay follows the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the permitted development rules in England.
- Weather: Grilles do not keep out rain or wind, so they suit internal positions or sheltered openings.
- Centre rules: Shopping centres often specify finishes and operation; we work to the landlord's fit-out pack.

Frequently asked questions
Can a grille go inside the shop?
Yes. Internal grilles behind the glass are common where planning or the landlord prefers the shopfront unchanged.
Do shopping centres allow solid shutters?
Many require open grilles for internal units; check your lease or fit-out guide.
Do I need permission for roller grilles in Newquay?
It depends on the property. New external shutters on shopfronts and street-facing elevations usually need planning permission. Check with your local council before ordering; we can supply drawings.
