If your shop in Ammanford is on a parade or in a conservation area, the look of the shutter matters as much as the security, so we talk through planning-friendly options such as perforated laths or a box behind the fascia.
Perforated and grille shutters let passers-by in Ammanford see the window display after hours, which many councils prefer on shopping streets.

What to check in Ammanford before ordering
As a Welsh town, Ammanford follows the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Welsh permitted development rules.

Frequently asked questions
Can a grille go inside the shop?
Yes. Internal grilles behind the glass are common where planning or the landlord prefers the shopfront unchanged.
Are roller grilles secure?
They form a strong barrier against entry, but small items could be reached through the gaps, so they suit displays rather than open counters of small goods.
Do you cover Ammanford?
Yes. Book a survey for any address in Ammanford in the usual way; it is covered as part of Dyfed.
Do I need permission for roller grilles in Ammanford?
Possibly. New external shutters on shopfronts and street-facing elevations usually need planning permission. We recommend checking with your local council first.
