Roller grilles in Carshalton: questions
Are roller grilles secure?
They form a strong barrier against entry, but small items could be reached through the gaps, so they suit displays rather than open counters of small goods.
Can a grille go inside the shop?
Yes. Internal grilles behind the glass are common where planning or the landlord prefers the shopfront unchanged.
Is the survey free in Carshalton?
For new shutters, yes. Repair visits in Carshalton are charged because they include diagnosis and work on the day.
Do I need permission for roller grilles in Carshalton?
Possibly. New external shutters on shopfronts and street-facing elevations usually need planning permission. We recommend checking with your local council first.
