Our roller grilles service in Airdrie
Airdrie sits some 10 miles to the north-east of East Kilbride.
If your shop in Airdrie is on a parade or in a conservation area, the look of the shutter matters as much as the security, so we talk through planning-friendly options such as perforated laths or a box behind the fascia.
Perforated and grille shutters let passers-by in Airdrie see the window display after hours, which many councils prefer on shopping streets.
Surveys in Airdrie and the surrounding area are arranged directly with you, as part of our coverage across Lanarkshire. We also cover Coatbridge, Motherwell and Cumbernauld, so premises in more than one of these places can be quoted together.

What to check in Airdrie before ordering
In Airdrie, as elsewhere in Scotland, planning questions go to your planning authority (the local council, or a national park authority).
- Weather: Grilles do not keep out rain or wind, so they suit internal positions or sheltered openings.
- Centre rules: Shopping centres often specify finishes and operation; we work to the landlord's fit-out pack.

Questions about roller grilles in Airdrie
Can a grille go inside the shop?
Yes. Internal grilles behind the glass are common where planning or the landlord prefers the shopfront unchanged.
Are roller grilles secure?
They form a strong barrier against entry, but small items could be reached through the gaps, so they suit displays rather than open counters of small goods.
Is the survey free in Airdrie?
Yes, surveys for new installations in Airdrie are free. Repair and service visits are charged.
Do I need permission for roller grilles in Airdrie?
Possibly. New external shutters on shopfronts and street-facing elevations usually need planning permission. We recommend checking with your council first.
