Rules that apply in Halifax
In Halifax, as elsewhere in England, planning questions go to your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).
- Weather: Grilles do not keep out rain or wind, so they suit internal positions or sheltered openings.
- Centre rules: Shopping centres often specify finishes and operation; we work to the landlord's fit-out pack.

Questions about roller grilles in Halifax
Are roller grilles secure?
They form a strong barrier against entry, but small items could be reached through the gaps, so they suit displays rather than open counters of small goods.
Do shopping centres allow solid shutters?
Many require open grilles for internal units; check your lease or fit-out guide.
How much do roller grilles cost in Halifax?
We use the same UK guide prices in Halifax; after the survey you get a fixed written price for your opening.
Do I need permission for roller grilles in Halifax?
It depends on the property. New external shutters on shopfronts and street-facing elevations usually need planning permission. Check with your local council before ordering; we can supply drawings.
