Questions about roller shutter replacement in Colwyn Bay
Do I need planning permission to replace a shutter?
Like-for-like replacements usually do not, but changing type, colour or position on a shopfront may. Check with your council.
Can I replace just the shutter curtain?
Yes, if the box, barrel and guides are sound. It is often the cheapest way to fix a shutter with corroded or damaged laths.
Do I need permission for roller shutter replacement in Colwyn Bay?
Possibly. Like-for-like replacements do not usually need permission, but a new external shutter or a change of type or position can, especially on shopfronts and listed buildings. We recommend checking with your local council first.
