Planning and safety in Dungannon
Planning in Dungannon follows the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and the NI permitted development rules. Shopfront shutters usually need planning permission; for houses it depends on the property, and listed buildings need listed building consent from the council, with the Department for Communities consulted.

Fire shutters in workplaces and other non-domestic premises are maintained under the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 and the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010, where the appropriate person is responsible for keeping fire safety measures in working order.
