Planning and safety in Wisbech
In Wisbech, as elsewhere in England, planning questions go to your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).
- Safety: Light curtains and activation zones are commissioned on site so the door cannot close on people or vehicles in the opening.
- Maintenance: High cycle counts mean more frequent servicing than ordinary roller doors.

Frequently asked questions
Why use a high-speed door instead of a roller shutter?
Where a door opens many times an hour, a fast door is only open while traffic passes, which saves energy and keeps areas separate.
Can high-speed doors be used outside?
Yes, with wind-rated construction for the exposure of the opening.
How much do high-speed roller doors cost in Wisbech?
Typical prices are shown above. A survey at your property in Wisbech confirms the specification and fixes the price.
Do I need permission for high-speed roller doors in Wisbech?
Possibly. New doors on industrial buildings can need planning permission if they change the elevation, and doors in fire compartment walls must suit the fire strategy. We recommend checking with your local council first.
