For warehouses, depots and workshops in and around Hemel Hempstead, the door is sized to the opening, the wind on that elevation and the number of cycles a day.
Each industrial door is specified for its own opening, so a site in Hemel Hempstead gets a door matched to its size, use and power supply rather than a single standard.

What to check in Hemel Hempstead before ordering
Hemel Hempstead is in England, so planning decisions sit with your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).

Questions about high-speed roller doors in Hemel Hempstead
Can high-speed doors be used outside?
Yes, with wind-rated construction for the exposure of the opening.
Why use a high-speed door instead of a roller shutter?
Where a door opens many times an hour, a fast door is only open while traffic passes, which saves energy and keeps areas separate.
Do I need permission for high-speed roller doors in Hemel Hempstead?
New doors on industrial buildings can need planning permission if they change the elevation, and doors in fire compartment walls must suit the fire strategy. If you are unsure, ask your local council; we provide product details for any application.
Is the survey free in Hemel Hempstead?
Yes, for new installations. We tell you the cost of any repair or service visit before booking.
