What to check in Peebles before ordering
As a Scottish town, Peebles follows the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 and the Scottish permitted development rules.
- Maintenance: High cycle counts mean more frequent servicing than ordinary roller doors.
- Safety: Light curtains and activation zones are commissioned on site so the door cannot close on people or vehicles in the opening.

Questions about high-speed roller doors in Peebles
Can high-speed doors be used outside?
Yes, with wind-rated construction for the exposure of the opening.

Many fabric doors have a self-repairing curtain that comes out of the guides on impact and re-feeds on the next cycle.
How much do high-speed roller doors cost in Peebles?
We use the same UK guide prices in Peebles; after the survey you get a fixed written price for your opening.
Do I need permission for high-speed roller doors in Peebles?
It depends on the property. New doors on industrial buildings can need planning permission if they change the elevation, and doors in fire compartment walls must suit the fire strategy. Check with your council before ordering; we can supply drawings.
