Pontefract is roughly 12 miles south-east of Leeds.
Each industrial door is specified for its own opening, so a site in Pontefract gets a door matched to its size, use and power supply rather than a single standard.
For warehouses, depots and workshops in and around Pontefract, the door is sized to the opening, the wind on that elevation and the number of cycles a day.
Surveys in Pontefract and the surrounding area are arranged directly with you, as part of our coverage across West Yorkshire. Castleford, Wakefield and Ossett are covered too, which helps when several properties need doing.

What to check in Pontefract before ordering
As an English town, Pontefract follows the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the permitted development rules in England.
- Maintenance: High cycle counts mean more frequent servicing than ordinary roller doors.
- Safety: Light curtains and activation zones are commissioned on site so the door cannot close on people or vehicles in the opening.

High-speed roller doors in Pontefract: questions
What happens if a forklift hits it?
Many fabric doors have a self-repairing curtain that comes out of the guides on impact and re-feeds on the next cycle.
Why use a high-speed door instead of a roller shutter?
Where a door opens many times an hour, a fast door is only open while traffic passes, which saves energy and keeps areas separate.
