Our perforated roller shutters service in Pontefract
For reference, Pontefract lies about 12 miles south-east of Leeds.
If your shop in Pontefract is on a parade or in a conservation area, the look of the shutter matters as much as the security, so we talk through planning-friendly options such as perforated laths or a box behind the fascia.
We check the fascia, the box space and the power supply on every shopfront in Pontefract before quoting, so the fixed price reflects the real job.
We cover Pontefract and the WF8 postcode district as part of West Yorkshire; you book a survey here exactly as you would anywhere else. We also cover Castleford, Wakefield and Ossett, so premises in more than one of these places can be quoted together.

Planning and safety in Pontefract
Pontefract is in England, so planning decisions sit with your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).
- Planning: A perforated shutter is often the type councils will accept on a shopfront, but an application is usually still needed.
- Weather: Perforations let some wind and rain through, so think about the glazing behind and draughts in exposed spots.

Questions about perforated roller shutters in Pontefract
Can I see into the shop through a perforated shutter?
Yes, especially when the shop is lit. Punched vision laths give a clearer view.
Why do councils prefer perforated shutters?
They keep shopping streets looking lit and active after hours rather than lined with blank steel, which many shopfront design guides encourage.
How much do perforated roller shutters cost in Pontefract?
We use the same UK guide prices in Pontefract; after the survey you get a fixed written price for your opening.
Is the survey free in Pontefract?
For new shutters, yes. Repair visits in Pontefract are charged because they include diagnosis and work on the day.
