Rules that apply in Llanelli
In Llanelli, as elsewhere in Wales, planning questions go to your local planning authority (the county or county borough council, or a national park authority).
- Maintenance: High cycle counts mean more frequent servicing than ordinary roller doors.
- Safety: Light curtains and activation zones are commissioned on site so the door cannot close on people or vehicles in the opening.

High-speed roller doors in Llanelli: questions
Why use a high-speed door instead of a roller shutter?
Where a door opens many times an hour, a fast door is only open while traffic passes, which saves energy and keeps areas separate.
Can high-speed doors be used outside?
Yes, with wind-rated construction for the exposure of the opening.
How much do high-speed roller doors cost in Llanelli?
The guide prices above apply in Llanelli. Your exact price depends on size, finish, controls and access, and is fixed in writing after survey.
Do I need permission for high-speed roller doors in Llanelli?
It depends on the property. New doors on industrial buildings can need planning permission if they change the elevation, and doors in fire compartment walls must suit the fire strategy. Check with your local council before ordering; we can supply drawings.
