Stevenage is in England, so planning decisions sit with your local planning authority (the district, borough, city or unitary council).
- Maintenance: High cycle counts mean more frequent servicing than ordinary roller doors.
- Safety: Light curtains and activation zones are commissioned on site so the door cannot close on people or vehicles in the opening.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if a forklift hits it?
Many fabric doors have a self-repairing curtain that comes out of the guides on impact and re-feeds on the next cycle.
Why use a high-speed door instead of a roller shutter?
Where a door opens many times an hour, a fast door is only open while traffic passes, which saves energy and keeps areas separate.
Is the survey free in Stevenage?
For new shutters, yes. Repair visits in Stevenage are charged because they include diagnosis and work on the day.
How much do high-speed roller doors cost in Stevenage?
We use the same UK guide prices in Stevenage; after the survey you get a fixed written price for your opening.
